Had a great time with Carly and Tim on Thursday night shooting their engagement photos. It was a foggy evening, but we caught some great light for both locations.

Phillipe Kahn of Santa Cruz at UCSC & Miles Davis - Freelance photographer Terry Way
Terry Way Photography Website Phillipe Kahn was the keynote speaker last night for UCSC's Student Business Plan Competition.
He impressed me by stating that his role model for business was none other than Miles Davis. The way in which Miles constantly reinvented himself and his music and always moved forward with his art without fear of rejection and with a tough skin for critics are attributes Kahn admires. The Miles shot above was from a performance at Stanford's Frost Amphitheatre in the late 80's. Shoot off an email if you would like any photography done.

Animal Collective Plays Big Sur ~ Photos by Terry Way
Animal Collective stopped by Big Sur for an inspired performance at the Henry Miller Library. Liz, aka Grouper opened the night with with an esoteric set as the fog thickened and settled in.

Rancho La Canada Carmel Valley Wedding Photographer Terry Way

Nicole and Brent had a spectacular wedding in Carmel Valley at Rancho la Canada Golf Course - with the ceremony in Pacific Grove. What a fun couple! Patty Speirs of Every Last Detail handled all the coordinating with ease, she is a true professional. I was honored Nicole and Brent chose me as the photographer at their wedding, they traveled from Canada to be married here in the Central Coast and I only just had the pleasure of meeting them at their wedding.

Just had our engagement photos taken by Terry Way Photography http://www.yelp.com/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.terryway.com So much fun, found him through a friend. I don't know if we just hit it off with him or if he connects with all of his clients this way, but he took us down this sunny spot near the cliffs at sunset and took probably 500 photos of us in what seemed like 20 minutes. We were both worried about having our photos taken, haven't really looked at that as a highlight of our day. But it ended up being a great way to start out our wedding planning. We realized all the wedding stuff should be this fun!
