Marianne Faithfull performed a benefit concert at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur last night. Accompanied by guitarist Doug Pettibone, this was to be their first duet together. Ms. Faithfull and Pettibone proved to be an outstanding pair. Her distinctive, smokey voice was in fine form and Pettibone's guitar mastery was evident. The stripped down arrangements allowed Marianne to fully engage in her lyrical delivery. Thanks to Magnus for hosting this fine evening.
