Zee Avi Plays Santa Cruz For The first Time (((folkYEAH!))) ~ Photos by Terry Way

Born in Borneo to a poet mother and a rocker father, Zee Avi is a worldly talent. Raised in Malaysia, studied in London, lived in Brooklyn and now L.A., the "Little Lion" has collected many rich life lessons and uses song to channel her thoughts and dreams. She visited Santa Cruz yesterday for the first time and dug the vibe. She played the Catalyst Atrium to a small but rapt audience.
