Our 2 week trip to NZ came during a very promising month for swell across the Island. Unfortunately, we arrived a couple of days after some of the best surf the West side had seen in years and subsequently heard a lot of stories about how good it had been, "Mate!" As it turned out, my best waves were found on the East side, up in the
Coromandel . We caught a few days of super clean small waves in pristine conditions. Great for photos! We also were there at the end of the Summer season and the place was deserted. Pretty epic.
