The 2016 El Nino event has been fantastic for surfers and big wave lovers. Swell trains keep getting generated and have made for some remarkable conditions at some of the Pacific's premier big wave locations. Pe'ahi, aka Jaws on Maui's North coast has had a banner season. This spot produces the largest and most perfect waves on the planet. Just about every week another massive swell arrives, pushing the limits of what was considered possible in heavy water conditions. | This was the morning after the historic Eddie contest at Waimea and Kai was the first and only person out. He was towed into several great waves and later paddled into a few more once the crowd showed up. |
